You can know God

He’s not far away, or mysterious. His love is practical and down-to-earth. He clothed himself in a human body, was born as a child, lived a life that was not easy, but He lived it perfectly and died for your sins and mine. Was buried, and rose again on the third day, proving He has the authority to revive all who put their hope in Him. He’s seated on the throne in heaven, and is building an eternal home for all who put their trust and hope in Him. He will soon call home all who have put their hope in Him to come up to heaven, then make their home with Him forever.

As this world gets closer it’s end it will become a much darker place. It will claim to have ‘peace and safety’ but will be full of fear, division, and oppression. This whole planet, it’s people, nations, and spiritual forces have been in rebellion against God, our creator, since Adam and Eve. That rebellion has been subtle at times. But will become more and more clearly dark and oppressive, until all the wisdom, ingenuity, and power of humanity reaches it’s climax in a fake utopia that is actually ‘hell on earth’. Outwardly glorious, while internally completely corrupt.

At this point – the pinnacle of human creation with it’s evil underbelly – Jesus will return and put an end to this corrupt human union, and the rebellion on this planet. Then He’ll set up the first truly righteous kingdom this world has ever seen. He will be our God and we will be His people. We’ll see him with our own eyes, and hear Him with our own ears.

You can know Him today through the Bible. He has revealed Himself to us from cover to cover. Jump in and let’s get to know God, as He describes Himself, not how we imagine Him to be, or how others claim He is.
